Whether it’s for a concert at the Xfinity Center or a game at Gillette, tailgating is a proud New England tradition in the fall.
Football fans are more than ready. The Patriots season opener is coming up on Sunday, Sept. 7.
Okay, so the opening game is in Miami, but you can still “tailgate” at your own house or have a BBQ to celebrate.
The first home game at Gillette Stadium is on Sept. 21 against the Oakland Raiders.
But maybe you’re not a sports fan. The summer concert season isn’t over yet. The Xfinity Center, where there is a perfect parking lot for tailgating, still has Miranda Lambert and Ed Sheeran coming through in September.
Whenever and however you tailgate, make sure you do it right. We’ve got some tips to make your tailgates the best ever this season.
It’s all about the gadgets and getting creative. Here are 10 amazing products for tailgating:
1. Cooler Scooter
That would be a cooler that you can drive around. Guaranteed to make you new friends at a tailgate – just load up some beers and drive around the parking lot to share!
Buy one from Crazy Coolers, or on Amazon.
If you’re not convinced yet, maybe Liam Hemsworth and Jimmy Fallon will help:

One of the best-ever inventions for hiding alcohol. I will admit, I have not tried it myself, so I do wonder – what happens once you drink the wine? Do your boobs just appear to shrink as you drink? May or may not be worth it. You can buy one on Amazon.
Men, don’t worry – they also make The BeerBelly.
3. Bungee Chair

Find out where to get one from Mandatory.
Or save the money and make your own speakers. You might have seen the solo cup trick before – just put your phone in a solo cup and it will amplify the sound – but for a more creative DIY approach, try #7 on this life-hack list.
9. “Irish Bowling”

Everyone will be playing cornhole or beer pong, so why not try a new game? Lowes has instructions on how to build your own “Irish Bowling” game set. The game involves knocking numbered blocks out of a ring with cylindrical “bowling” pieces, based on the Irish game “Skittles.”
